Casa da Tella in Tavira is opening its restaurant and has a surprise for its visitors: invited the renowned Uruguayan chef Diego Perez Sosa to lead the kitchen in the opening.

Diego Perez Sosa, 37, has more than 15 years of experience in the typical cuisine of Rio de la Plata and in the art of cooking fires, using in particular the slow food style. For five years he worked with the best chef of fire of Argentina, Francis Mallmann, having participated in the documentary Chef’s Table of Netflix.
In 2015, he moved to São Paulo and founded the United States de la Carne group with high quality meat specialists from Brazil, Peru, Argentina and Italy. Before being invited to participate in the opening of the restaurant Casa da Tella, his recipes were the most appreciated in the Brazilian city of Trancoso, being featured in the Brazilian national press for innumerable occasions.
Diego Sosa’s cuisine definition matches perfectly into Casa da Tella’s restaurant concept: high quality ingredients, 100% fresh and local. We seek to respect the traditional products of our region and their properties, combining them into modern and conceptual recipes.

Casa da Tella restaurant is located in the historic center of Tavira, in one of the most prestigious and well-known squares, just 200 meters from the ‘Romana’ bridge, and close to all places interest in the city. Diego Sosa is in Tavira until February 27.
